NEW YORK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY

• Successfully treated over 150 unique patients ranging from regular checkups to complex surgical extractions.
   

• Extensive Urgent Care rotation experience including immediate pulptomtomy, surgical/non-surgical extractions, gross debridement, and prescribing of pain meds and antibiotics.
   

• Designed and implemented from beginning to end a comprehensive full mouth reconstruction treatment plan for multiple patients.
   

• Able to manage patients with complex medical history (i.e. patients with history of hypertension, stroke, diabetes, dialysis, HIV+, hyperthyroidism) all with successful results.
   

• Assisted on numerous surgeries on implant placement, immediate implant placement after extractions, sinus lifts, and bone grafting in our department of Implantology.
   

• Able to restore edentulous space with porcelain fused to metal implant crowns after success of osseointegration of the implants.
   

• Able to fully fabricate and place implant-retained overdenture after implants were place in an edentulous lower arch.
   

• Treated a wide variety of kids during Pedodontic rotation and learned how to provide proper oral hygiene care placing sealants, extracting primary
  teeth, stainless steal crowns, and treatment planning for proper space maintenance.
   

• Utilized the latest technology at NYU including Cerec 3D CAD/CAM software.

BASIC DENTAL IMPLANT TRAINING AND LIVE IMPLANT SURGERY PLACEMENT BY AIC HIOSSEN

• Will complete 40+ hours of proper training to place dental implants on patients.
   

• Will be fully prepared in diagnosing and treatment planning placement of dental implants which includes: radiographic evaluation, CT scan evaluation, and indications for one stage surgery.
   

• Will be able to understand how to manage the patients prior, during, and after implant placement.
   

• Will be able to understand how complications may arise and be able to manage these un-foreseen complications
   

• Will be able to successfully place two implants on a patient after completion of course
   

DENTAL MISSION VIETNAM TOOTH PROJECT

NOBLE BIOCARE

• Participated in a weekend long seminar at the headquarters of Noble Biocare.
   

• This included a full day of treatment planning mock cases using Materialize
  SimPlant 3D software.
   

• Detailed hands-on experience placing Noble Active Implants on a typodont.

JACOBI MEDICAL CENTER

• Retracting during surgery in the OR while surgeons stabilizes patients' fractured mandible.
   

• Assessing a panorex x-ray weeks after mandibular with closed-reduction fracture.
   

• Performed surgical extractions (including 3rd molars) by making surgical flaps for adequate excess.
   

• Managed improper healing extraction sockets.
   

• Learned various suturing techniques that maximizes adequate blood supply for proper healing.

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES

• Participated in a weeklong externship at UCLA Periodontal and Implant Department.
   

• Assisted on various periodontal surgeries includes reconstructive osseous surgery, guided tissue regeneration, and free gingival grafting.
   

• Learned the importance of proper tissue management.
   

• Gained hands on experience with Dr. Henry Takei and fellow residents placing implants on a cadaver pig.

NHAN HOA COMPREHENSIVE CARE CLINIC

• Participated in a weeklong externship at Nhan Hoa Clinic, a non-profit clinic that provides dental care to those with low income.
   

• Assisted and Observed various treatments which includes restorative and oral surgery.
   

• Gained insight on how to manage patients under poor circumstances and provide them with proper dental care

NEW YORK UNIVERSITY

• Filled in for other colleagues on various occasions at NYU Dental Faculty Practice in downtown New York.
   

• Proper diagnosis and treatment planning of NYU undergraduate students. This included prophylaxis, restorations, and emergencies under the supervision of the faculty in a fast-pace environment.
